Transforming Government Services Through Innovation

STISHA is an SBA-approved 8(a) Mentor Protégé Joint Venture between STI Federal, a tribally-owned enterprise of the Sault Ste. Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians, and Ishpi Information Technologies, Inc., a Native American owned, trusted federal contractor with a proven track record of mission-focused innovation.

Our Vision & Mission

Heritage Powered.

Mission Focused.

Nation First.

At STISHA, our mission is to deliver innovative solutions that help federal agencies modernize systems, processes, and technology—driving greater efficiency, resilience, and mission performance. We combine the agility, cultural insight, and purpose of a tribally owned enterprise with the proven scale, technical depth, and operational excellence of an experienced federal contractor.

Guided by the enduring strength of Anishinaabe values, we lead with courage, innovate with intention, and serve with integrity. Every contract we undertake reflects our commitment to excellence, our unique cultural perspective, and a community-driven purpose—advancing federal missions while creating lasting prosperity for the Chippewa citizens.

Our values are the compass for all we do:

  • Courage – Leading boldly in service and strategy
  • Integrity – Upholding trust and transparency in every engagement
  • Innovation – Driving forward-thinking solutions with purpose
  • Community – Empowering tribal prosperity through meaningful impact

Together, we unite federal mission success with tribal empowerment-advancing both national service and sovereign strength.

Our Commitment

Supporting a Nation. Empowering Communities.

At STISHA, our impact goes beyond meeting client needs and delivering value. We partner with federal agencies to deliver exceptional results-while empowering the Sault Ste. Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians. Every project helps strengthen tribal sovereignty, funding and improving various health, education, and cultural initiatives for over 52,000 tribal members.

By delivering excellence to our federal clients, we help create a stronger, more self-reliant future for the Sault Ste. Marie Tribe. Our work embodies a steadfast commitment to both national service and the prosperity of our tribal community.

"From Concept to Icon: Our Logos, Our Legacy"

The STISHA logo reflects our shared vision to unite strengths in service of a higher purpose. It embodies purpose, strategic excellence, and the values that guide us—integrity, innovation, and impact. Every element was deliberately designed through collaboration to capture who we are and what we stand for: resilience, unity, and forward momentum. More than a name, STISHA is a commitment to national service and purpose-driven progress.
The STI Federal logo honors the crane—the Anishinaabe doodem symbol of leadership and guidance. It reflects our commitment to serve our clients with integrity and foresight, while celebrating the Tribe’s enduring journey from Great Lakes heritage to modern leadership in national service.
ISHPI’s founder and president are proud members of the Sault Ste. Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians, and our logo honors this heritage. The distinctive lines within the first “I” of ISHPI represent the St. Mary’s River—a vital waterway linking Michigan and Canada—symbolizing the roots and identity of the Sault Ste. Marie Tribe. ISHPI—pronounced ish-pee—comes from the Ojibwe language and means “to move forward, to advance, advanced, high, or above.” This name reflects our unwavering commitment to progress and excellence in everything we do.
